City/town information

The historic town of Inverness is often referred to as 'the Capital of the Highlands' due to its location as the 'gateway' to all of the best the Scottish Highlands has to offer. Whether you're interested in ancient Highland history, munro hiking, local food and beer, museums, mountain biking or trail walking - you'll find it all (and more) in Inverness!

Local beers

This has been my local pub for many years! It's welcoming of tourists and locals alike and good for solo travelers, couples and families. Great local beers and ales, good pub grub and (often) live music combines with incredible views and a friendly service.

Sightseeing

An interesting and interactive experience of one of Scotland's most prolific periods in history - culminating The Battle of Culloden. A newly refurbished visitor centre makes for a great half or full day trip for adults and children alike. Very good cafe to boot!
