One of the best beaches near by. It is considered as a protected area ( natura) of the Careta-careta sea turtles. You never know you might even see their nests hatching depending the time you are going. Often wavy but really clear waters. There is a beach bar on the left for drinks, coffees and pizzas or even later go at the top of the hill where is a nice tavern with an amazing sea view. Attention! You need to be a good swimmer if it becomes wavy.

Really beautiful beach. It has umbrellas and a small cantine that makes greek souvlaki. You can have a shower , a coffee or lunch. Usually the waters as very calm most of the time and there is a rock very close to the coast for the kids, or adults to dive.

An amazing beach that you need to be well prepared while going there. If you really want to enjoy it you need to make sure you have plenty of water with you, fruits and some food as there is nothing there to get. You need to walk at a little gorge for about 15 minutes where along the way you will meet the little church of St. Antonios. Make sure you wear comfy shoes and have a hat on. Better get some umbrella with you to be protected from the sun and enjoy the swim as the waters are amazing and it is always calm sea.

An amazing beach that you need to be well prepared while going there. If you really want to enjoy it you need to make sure you have plenty of water with you, fruits and some food as there is nothing there to get. You need to walk at a little gorge for about 15 minutes where along the way you will meet the little church of St. Antonios. Make sure you wear comfy shoes and have a hat on. Better get some umbrella with you to be protected from the sun and enjoy the swim as the waters are amazing and it is always calm sea.

A small town close to Choustouliana, where you can find anything from supermarkets, shops, hairdressers, nail salons, restaurants etc. Every Saturday morning there is a street bazaar. Make sure you taste the traditional CInnamon juice called 'Kanelada'

Kids or adults can do horseriding there but you need to book ahead with them first. Enjoy your wine at the terrace while watching the endless sea horizon!

Advices and tips
Ideally would be to do long daily trips day by day. Crete has a long of driving so better one day to stay close by and the next to have a day trip.
Make sure to have plenty of water and a snack in beaches such as Agiofaraggo or Agios Pavlos as there is nothing there to eat.
You need a hat at all times during the summer as it is super hot.
Don't forget to try the go-cart piste at the village. It is not as professional like abroad but for sure it will be fun for the kids.
Make sure you try all the traditional dishes of Crete.
