Finding good dessert is a bit of a challenge in Cuenca😅. Café del Zaguán is a cute family owned coffee shop and they put their hearts into their pastries. We love going there for a slice of zucchini bread and espresso. Or a torta de Chilimoya, a local fruit that they somehow managed to turn into a delicacy.
A tradition in Cuenca is to meet friends for coffee and “pan con nata”(bread with cream) at 4pm.

Sometimes you just want a bit of home, and San Sebas hands down has the best American breakfast in town. It is 2 blocks away on the San Sebastián Park. We love their banana nut pancakes and their homemade sausages 🤤

Beer lovers this is your place to go! The owner is Belgian and serves traditional belgian beer with alot of variety brewed right here in Cuenca. We love to have their filet mignon, and their Smurfentart for dessert, not forgetting their delicious waffles.
