Founded in 2003 by former Boston Globe film critic Michael Blowen, the organization has grown from a leased paddock and one horse to a 236-acre farm, a herd of over 200 rescued and retired horses.
Now a “living-history museum of horse racing”, the farm attracts nearly 20,000 visitors annually who come to swoon over such American Grade 1 winners as Breeders’ Cup Champions Amazombie, Little Mike and Alphabet Soup, Belmont Stakes winners Sarava and Touch Gold, and three-time Santa Anita Handicap winner Game On Dude. The farm is also home to Kentucky Derby and Preakness champion Silver Charm repatriated from stud duties overseas.

Spanning 510 feet long, 85 feet wide, and 51 feet high, this modern engineering marvel amazes visitors young and old. Evans Orchard is like an amusement park of farms. This fifth-generation farm stretches out over 175 acres with family-fun activities like an apple cider slider, Rat Racers Big Wheel track, swings and tire climbs, and even a Barn Yard Petting Zoo. With the only cider mill in Central Kentucky, this farm offers some of the best cider and fried apple pies in the area. They even allow you to pick your own flowers and fruit!
Evans Orchard is open every day except for Mondays during season. The Play Area is open every day that the market is open for a single admission fee that also includes entry to the Barn Yard Petting Zoo. U-picks are also available during picking seasons. The farm closes entirely in December and opens back up to the public May 1st, 2021.

In addition to fresh produce, visitors find homemade fudge and jams and jellies at the farm market. Bi Water Farm is open daily from Spring to Fall. The farm is closed entirely November through March. Check their website for hours and special events.
