A “must do” for Southwest Colorado scenery. Purchase your tickets well in advance, take the bus back to Durango instead of riding the train both ways (makes for a very long day). While you’re in Silverton, have lunch at Handlebars (worth the wait) and if you happen to be there on a Sunday, order the green chile cheese soup.
