A few blocks away. A nice walk especially at sundown. On the weekend is the site for local parties, volley ball, music jams, etc. You can rent kayaks. Don’t fall in the water is not the cleanest.

Bar

If you walk around the block you will go through their seating area. It is a bit seedy but has the cheapest drinks in town and the natives are friendly if somewhat inebriated. A great place to watch the Saints games. Large enthusiastic crowds.
