Food Scene
We eat a lot of pizza. Simple pizza with a good beer is what we find in Barkun, pizza/pasta restaurant few minutes away from our house.
Chef's recommended pizza is different every time so I prefer that one but Ivana is always eating the tartufata (pizza with truffles). San Servolo is the best beer produced in Istria so give it a try!

If you don't feel like cooking the close-by marina has a restaurant wiht barbecue dishes, fish and meat specialities, pasta dishes and simple food and not at all pricey as the location would suggest. And it's a nice walk back to the apartment so you don't have to drive...

The best place in whole Croatia, you absolutely must try this if you're into seafood! I'm not joking, this is the most creative and inspiring restaurant I've ever visited and the food is as fresh as it can be - the father is fisherman, and mother&son are chefs.
Last time I was there they didn't accept credit cards and I think it's to appear less touristy. They do give receipts and pay taxes though ;)

25 ČimuljeThe best place in whole Croatia, you absolutely must try this if you're into seafood! I'm not joking, this is the most creative and inspiring restaurant I've ever visited and the food is as fresh as it can be - the father is fisherman, and mother&son are chefs.

Milan is one of the more upscale restaurants, more fancy and therefore more expensive. If you're into more classic seafood and don't mind spending a bit more maybe this is the place for you. And leave some room for deserts - they have fresh cakes and you can try several when you ask them to serve many small pieces instead of just one cake per person ;)

And leave some room for deserts - they have fresh cakes and you can try several when you ask them to serve many small pieces instead of just one cake per person ;)

The beach closest to our house, great for smallest kids as they can learn to swim here as I have ;)
Ivana goes to swim here every day during the summer. Only few minutes walking from your apartment.

The closest place to buy food with good drinks offer as well. It's not a big supermarket but we find it very useful and shop there all the time.

Protected nature habitat, beautiful area to walk/cycle and have a swim... Safari bar at the top of the peninsula is a hidden place to have a beer or two... Or if you're with kids - to have them have fun hiding around (bamboo is covering the whole place). You can drive there but expect to have your car covered with dust from the unpaved road.
