Uber and Lyft are convenient modes of transportation when traveling. If you are traveling internationally be sure to setup your account in advance.
Renting a car is also a convenient options especially if you have many plans or are traveling quite a distance outside the city. Street parking is typically available in front of the residence.
Public transportation is available but Los Angeles has not been a great city for public transportation since the early 20th century.
