This charming little restaurant in a historic house on Castle Street features delicious home-made quiche, salads, and sandwiches. We love the breakfast strata and the egg salad croissant. The artwork on the walls and black-and-white checkered floor create an artsy vibe.

Wilmington is known for its great seafood, but if you love cheese & chocolate, don't miss your chance to visit The Little Dipper. You can order an entire meal, or a la carte cheese & chocolate fondue with fruit, veggies, cake, and (of course) bread to dip. Don't miss the unique jellyfish aquarium hand built by the owner!

You wouldn't know it by the name but this is a spectacular Asian restaurant. We stumbled on it when we couldn't get into Burnt Mill Creek Billiards and Wine bar in the same shopping center. (Both are located behind the Port City Java on Market St.) This is not your run-of-the-mill Chinese or Thai restaurant. We shared the lamb satay with coconut rice, vegetable and shrimp fritters and beef wontons and we couldn't eat it all! Too bad. They were really tasty!

If it's nice, try to eat outside. You might have to get there early--they don't take reservations--but it's worth the wait!

Drinks & Nightlife
Go to jazz nite on Sunday nights but get there early--it fills up! The music is great and there is plenty of free parking in their lot. We're not sure if there is table service because we couldn't get in and had to sit outside.

The Ivy Cottage is an amazing consignment store consisting of three separate buildings. They get new things in every day so, if you like to bargain hunt, this is the place for you!
