This is one of my favorites that I still frequently visit in the area. The well itself is massive, and you are able to walk most of the perimeter above it, as well as follow a trail down below. There is also a nice trail that will take you to where the well water meets the river. Great 1/2 day adventure, beautiful scenery, interesting facts about the well and very close to Camp Verde.

7.7 Mile one way hike with beautiful views, creek access that runs parallel most of the way. One of the most visited and scenic trails in the area. The primary trail is used to access Wet Beaver Creek Canyon & Wilderness.
You will pass "The Crack" at about 3.5 miles which is a local favorite swimming hole~smooth rocks for sunbathing, shallow water for wading and spots for a cliff jumpers dream into the water.
