In addition to picnic and daydreaming opportunities, this waterfront park is the site of special events such as Arts in the Park and Belfast Summer Nights concerts.

Belfast City Park is the city's oldest park, established in 1904. The park is a heavily used, with 17.5 acres. Park visitors enjoy a sweeping view of Penobscot Bay and is open from May to November.

Local Color Gallery is a fine art gallery in downtown Belfast, Maine. The gallery features 15 local artists working in a wide variety of mediums: oil, acrylic, watercolor, and encaustic painting; printmaking and etching; fiber, wood, and found object sculptures and assemblages.

Rockport was home to Andre the Seal, who for 20 years came up from the Boston Aquarium to spend summers in Rockport Harbor as a welcome guest. His statue is now in Rockport Marine Park.
