Picnic, Swimming

This is a lovely spot for a picnic or swim. There’s also springs to taste
Vaughn Springs is a very special place. If you have time I highly recommend a visit. You can swim, picnic, bush walk, go down a giant slide and taste the local mineral water. The Vaughn Cemetery is very interesting too.

Daylesford is 20 minutes from the cottage. The lake is a lovely place to go for a stroll. Or a more vigorous walk if you feel like it. The area dog is friendly and there are several cafes. There is also an area called the beach if you feel like a swim. Don’t forget your water bottle to try the mineral water

I spend a lot of time at Cairn Curran It’s a special place. Bring your Kayak and fishing Rod. Or just go for a swim and watch the pelicans. Picnic point is where you can launch a boat but you can get access near the bridge. I got some feedback that if you’re not familiar with the area and are by yourself it could appear a little isolated. So head to the Castlemain Resivoir if you’d like to swim with the hipsters 😄

Neighbourhoods

The spa capital of Victoria! It’s where all the tourists go. There’s too many things to list in such a short space. There is an information centre.

Newstead is a cute little town. It is the closest town to Clydesdale. It has a pub, cafe, Little supermarket and the local pool if you are keen !!
