Little Italy isn't quite as Italian as it used to be, but you will still find some Italian restaurants and much more to enjoy. I'm a fan of Sidecar Restaurant. Cafe Diplomatico has a popular patio.

One of my favourite restaurants in the city. I've enjoyed dinner and weekend brunch there. And on Sunday evenings there is a live jazz trio. 20 minute drive from my house, but also convenient by TTC.

The centre of Chinatown is the Dundas/Spadina intersection. Googlemaps says that it's 30 minutes from me by TTC but that seems long. Plenty of restaurants and stores.

Baldwin street, on the edge of Chinatown, is close to Kensington Market and close to the AGO. It has several good restaurants (sushi, Mexican, Vegetarian, Italian) and also a health food store.

This castle completed in 1914 has beautiful gardens. The interior rooms are also attractive and show how a wealthy family would have lived at the time.

In the East End of the city the beaches is an affluent neighbourhood on the water. I like walking on the boardwalk and also watching the beach volleyball games on the weekend. They're very good!

You can walk into this college on University of Toronto campus and find a lovely green space at its centre. What in England is called a quad (short for quadrangle).
