Soulkitchen is hands down the best Korean place in Berlin. The food is served beautifully and everything is mega tasty. I recommend the beef, either as bbq to share or as a dish. The spicy cinnamon k-fried chicken is also nice!

While most of Berlin closes on Sundays, in Mauerpark you can find a big market with antiques, vintage clothes, arts and crafts, photography, and many food trucks. Everyone is chilling in the park, picnicking, listening to music, and soaking up the vibe.

Richardplatz is at the centre of Rixdorf, which is like a tiny town with a quiet, village-like feel built in 1700's Czech architecture. It's in the middle of Berlin hipster neighborhood. Very lovely to walk around.

Restaurants for special occasions
These are some of my favourite places for a special occasion. Reservation is a must, ideally 1-4 wks prior, depending. Calling works best, and everyone speaks English.
Michelin star food. You need a reservation a few weeks in advance but it is WORTH IT! Flavour explosions and surprises like nowhere you've eaten before.

Amazing israeli brunch place. Reserve or come early, there is ALWAYS a queue, but it is worth it for sure. The "Mugrabi teller" is awesome, but all the food is dope. Definitely try the hummus, you don't be disappointed.

This entrepreneur sells the most delicious light and crispy savoury muffins. My favourite are “sour cream and potato” and “the mexican”. They also make hot chocolate with real melted chocolate, which is phenomenal!

A wonderful French bakery with the most incredible choice of sweet and savoury pastries. Don't be alarmed by the queues, they progress quickly. My recommendations are the croque danish and the mushroom danish for savoury treats. Their almost croissant and nougat croissant are also insanely good.
If you queue on the LEFT by the bar it's for getting a table. Can recommend when sunny! One of you should grab a table while the other one orders, in Germany it's first come first served/ bring your towel ;-)
On the right by the window is for take-away!
