Nearby Green Lanes is full of restaurants, and is a hot spot for Turkish ones. Selale is the closest from home. I went there many times. I tested some of the other ones as well. Always a nice experience, very lively and the food is fresh and tasty.

If you want to treat yourself. From the house take the bus 41 towards Archway and you'll stop before Crouch end. 5/10 min. Otherwise it is a nice 15 minutes walk. Short cut: walk over the Hornsey station footbridge.

Amazing park to go with kids. With a good playground, a cafe that serves decent lunches, a paddling pool, a bumpy track for bikes, a skate park and a model traffic area for kids to enjoy with their bike or scooter.

An old railway line was converted in a nature reserve. Goes from Finsbury park to Alexandra Palace, through Crouch end. It's perhaps a 1,5 hour walk but you don't have to do it all. An amazing way to discover the area, with great views.
