The Restaurant is located at Lipa Noi beach on the west side of Koh Samui. There are tables on the beach, very nicely presented with table cloths and candles. Long tail boat rides are available out to the islands from a small harbour belonging to the restaurant. Beautiful in the daytime and very romantic setting for dinner. Lovely part of the beach, picturesque and with amazing sunsets.

Bang Kao Mix is relatively newly opened restaurant/bakery, run by a hospitable Thai lady and assisted by her husband. Everything cooked to order - always ask what is the day's special - very often they have freshly caught fish both freshwater and sea. This lovely eatery is a slow 15 minute walk along the beach from Coco's Bar(Stolland Resort at Laem Sur) in the opposite direction from the temple on the beach.

There are 2 Namuang waterfalls in Koh Samui. Muang in Thai means purple and is named so because of the purple rocks that form the falls. Namuang Waterfall 1 is a beautiful 18m high waterfall and easily accessible by a short walk into the jungle from the parking area nearby, making it a great place to stop off for a quick photo. There is a lovely pool formed at the foot of the waterfall where you will find tourists and locals alike jumping off rocks and taking a dip to cool off. Namuang Waterfall 1Namuang Waterfalls are set in lush jungle surrounds, easily accessible just off the main ring road Route 4169 about halfway between Nathon and Lamai Beach.

Na Muang 1 is reached by a 100-mtr walk from the parking lot, while Na Muang 2 is a further 100 mtrs away just off the main ring road Route 4169

To get to the Secret Buddha garden does require walking up and down a very steep slop that is about 50 meters long. There are pleasant small gardens to walk around for half hour, nice small waterfall and stone statues either side, which represents people in many poses and animals. There is a little river that runs through the gardens. Currently an 80 baht entrance fee. Cool and relaxing, and nature at its best.

Small Rum Distillery with a nice little Restaurant in the grounds. There is no guided tour, just few pictures on the wall where you can read and see everything you need. Seems to receive mixed Reviews from visits to the Distillery.

Big Buddha is set majestically on a small rocky island off Koh Samui's most north-eastern point. Known locally as Wat Phra Yao. As its name indicates, it is home to a giant, 12-metre high golden Buddha statue. Since being built in 1972, it has become one of Ko Samui's main tourist attractions and a major landmark. The Buddha statue depicts Buddha in a state of calm and purity and resolve, having overcome temptation and fear sent at him by Mara, Lord of Illusion.

Ying's house promises to give an insight into Thai style cooking and living. Guests are picked up from their accommodation and taken to the local market first to buy fresh ingredients. Cookery classes carried out at Ying's parents home. Her house is close here on the south of the island. An authentic, well organised, fun and personal experience provided by Ying. Well recommended.
