The Western Cape's market scene is truly a must but we simply can't compare any of the others to the Oranjezicht City Farm Market. From fresh produce to hand-crafted leather goods- the market boasts it all! Now for the food. As regulars at the market, we feel like we have very credible suggestions. Our top 3: Seppial's Kitchen's Korean Fried Chicken/Cauliflower; How Bao Now (literally anything on their menu) and some healthy Rejuvenate rolls from Groovy Greens. The market is open on Saturdays from 08:15 - 14:00; Sundays from 09:00-14:00 and there is a limited market open on Wednesday evenings from 17:00 - 21:00.

Café Caprice is always a good place to visit- be it a breakfast and mimosa, classy lunch and a glass of wine, or for Sunday sundowners and dancing. A nice vibe with a great view of Camps Bay Beach.

Take in the summer on the stunning beaches of Cape Town! A local favourite would be Clifton 4th beach but if you prefer a quieter, more secluded beach we recommend trying out Bakoven beach. Being on the West Coast, Sunsets are almost always something to behold.

Check out the lively neighbourhood of the Bo-Kaap! Situated at the foot of Signal Hill, on the fringe of the city centre, and formerly known as the Malay Quarter, the Bo-Kaap’s origins date back to the 1760s when numerous “huurhuisjes” (rental houses) were built and leased to slaves. These people were known as Cape Malays, and were brought from Malaysia, Indonesia and the rest of Africa to work in the Cape.
