Always a stop for us on the way to or back from the Daintree. Great for swimming , walks , cultural centre , cafe. $12 for a shuttle bus is the only cost from the centre to the Gorge

For your cultural fix, head to the Art Gallery in the heart of Cairns. Always something interesting to see with rotating exhibitions over 3 levels. The Gallery's shop is a great place to pick up a special gift or souvenir.

Spend sometime at Cairns Esplanade. You could enjoy a swim at the Esplanade Lagoon. There are a lot of restaurants and coffee shops in the area otherwise enjoy the BBQ facilities which are cleaned daily. Whilst in the area take a stroll along the boardwalk.

Enjoy the day at Green Island. We travelled with Great Adventures, who offer morning departures with afternoon returns, however departures are available with other companies. The highlight for me was snorkelling and swimming with the fish but you can also take a ride on the glass bottom boat to see the marine life. Optional activities also include introductory Scuba Diving, Scuba-Doo underwater scooter experience, Certified Diving, Scenic Helicopter Flights. A great way to spend the day.

The highlight for me was snorkelling and swimming with the fish but you can also take a ride on the glass bottom boat to see the marine life. Optional activities also include introductory Scuba Diving, Scuba-Doo underwater scooter experience, Certified Diving, Scenic Helicopter Flights. A great way to spend the day.
Crystal Cascades is a secluded freshwater swimming hole, hidden in a gorgeous tropical rainforest. There is no better way to cool down on a hot day and only a 20 minute drive from SeaSong.

Only an hours drive from SeaSong, Port Douglas is a great day trip. Explore the shops along Macrossan Street, go for a dip at Four Mile Beach, enjoy the view whilst having a drink at the Tin Shed or have a meal at one of the many great restaurants.

If you require a taxi on arrival in Cairns both the domestic and international terminals have their own sheltered taxi rank.
Cairns bus service is provided by Sunbus. The local bus stop is in Tucker St outside the Machans Community Centre. Daily timetables can be downloaded from Sunbus.
