3 miles from the cottage, Minchinhampton Common is one of the largest grassland commons in the Cotswolds and is a great place to stroll and enjoy the views and fresh air. Watch out for the cows! It's another favourite place of ours for walking. The Old Lodge, as noted elsewhere in the guidebook, is a good choice for food and drink. It also has a lovely beer garden. The same can be said for The Bear of Rodborough which is located on the edge of Minchinhampton and Rodborough Commons.
