Great Restaurants

Great food - even during the pandemic! Currently, it is take-out only, but when you can eat in again, the staff is warm and the beer is cold!

Fun place to get a good burger and play some food. Sometimes they have live music, too! The fried pickles are awesome!

This place is our favorite place to eat! It is a little bit of a drive, but totally worth it! They have so many amazing burgers with really unusual add-ons, a large list of local craft brews, and out door games.

City/town information

Middlebury is a great place to spend an afternoon - it has some good restaurants, a beautiful college, a great bookstore, fun shops, and an awesome brewery, cidery, and distillery within city limits. We also love the Co-op in Middlebury for fresh, organic products. And in the summer, they have a Farmer's Market on Wednesday and Saturday mornings.

Hiking

The Cliffs of Mt. Horrid is one of our favorite hikes. It is a short steep hike up to a phenomenal overlook. The trail is closed from April 1 to August 1 for the peregrine nesting season, but if you are here in late summer or fall, it is a wonderful 1 1/2 - 2 hour round trip.

Whether you hike north or south on the Long Trail, this is a great spot for hiking. Less than one mile south is Lake Pleiad - a beautiful little mountain lake. North are the Silent Cliffs. And of course, if you are feeling adventurous, you can hike gap to gap north and south.
