Busch Gardens

Busch Gardens Tampa is a world-renowned amusement park and one of the best things to do in Tampa, Florida, that offers a wide variety of fun activities and adventures for the whole family. Operated by SeaWorld Entertainment, Busch Gardens Tampa features an array of exclusive park experiences, such as a Serengeti Safari and Guided Adventure Tours, live entertainment and shows, themed rides and special kids’ attractions. Animal attractions include a Cheetah Run, Bird Gardens, Jambo Junction and Edge of Africa, and a variety of restaurants, cafés, bars, and shops provide all-day dining and shopping for park visitors.

Home to over 1,300 animals, including chimpanzees, Borneo orangutans, Florida Panthers, Queensland koalas, and Florida manatees, the Zoo focuses on endangered, threatened and vulnerable species from around the world, with an array of habitats devoted to Asia, Africa, Australia and Florida. Visitors can enjoy a variety of educational experiences, such as animal encounters, behind-the-scene tours, keeper talks, and other special events that relate to the living planet. Lowry Park Zoo is also home to Florida’s premier manatee rescue and rehabilitation center and operates one of the world’s foremost breeding programs to save a range of endangered species from extinction.

The parks each feature over 150 life-size dinosaur sculptures[1] created by Christer Svensson. The Florida location opened in November 1998, the Kentucky location five years after and Texas location followed five years after that. The parks are family friendly, including many activities for small children, playgrounds and picnic areas (food is not served on the property so guests are encouraged to picnic). Dinosaur World is conveniently located on Interstate 4 at Exit 17 in Plant City, Florida. If you are in the Tampa area the attraction is located approximately 20 minutes from downtown Tampa. From the Orlando area, plan on spending 45 minutes to one hour on the road.

“Snowcat Ridge Alpine Snow Park” The new park, which is located in Dade City, features a 60-foot tall, 400-foot long snow tubing hill with single, tandem and family-style tubing. To get to the top, visitors will use a pair of Magic Carpet conveyor lifts. At night, the slopes will feature a music and light show that is also visible from the park’s Alpine Village. Elsewhere at the snow park, visitors can head to the Arctic Igloo where they can make snowmen and play in the snow. There is also a “bunny slope” designed for children who are 3 years of age and younger. Capacity inside the Arctic Igloo with be limited. Meanwhile, over at the park’s Alpine Village, visitors can enjoy a variety of food and drink offering from vendors.
