White Palm Villa Manual & Mini Guide
YOUR VILLA
Your Villa:
We hope you’ll love our villa as we do. We have taken extra attention in designing it’s calm interiors and provide only the most luxurious home comforts . We ask that you look after our home. We appreciate small accidental breakages and spills can happen, just please inform our villa manger so we can replace.
Kitchen:
All White – if you can help clean up any spills quickly this will help prevent stains.
Chopping boards are provided for preparation.
Under the kitchen Breakfast Island are electrical charging points for your phones and i-pads etc. We love this little addition.
Appliances:
Besides the counter top appliances, the villa is very well equipped.
Coffee Maker, Microwave, Rice Cooker, Oven Dishes, Non-stick Pan Set, Wok, Wine / Bottle Opener etc, etc
If you enjoy your morning coffee bring some coffee pods for use in our Nespresso machine. We import Starbucks capsules and provide a few complementary to you. You can also purchase additional pods. 10 Pods for 400 Bhat.
Glasses; For safety we have non-breakable beakers for the outside area. Please don’t use glass.
The kitchen island draw has a supply of cooking oils, salt, pepper and spices. We ask that you simply replace what you use for the continued benefit of all guests.
Water: We advise that you don’t drink the tap water even though it comes from a rain water well and not government water. For your convenience we provide chilled filtered water and with automatic Icemaker from the fridge. Save buying and carrying up all that bottled water!! Woohoo!
Fridge:
The fridge has two opening doors for energy efficiency. One for quick reach door items and full pull out door access.
BBQ Napoleon Pro 500: We love our professional BBQ and hope you do too! In our Samui mini guide we include the best places to buy meat from!
We ask that you please clean the BBQ after use.
Bedrooms:
Please DO NOT MOVE THE KING SIZE BEDS – these are hand made and heavy! Dragging them will cause damage to the supporting legs.
Wardrobes are push button to open and close.
Master Suite Tip: After sunset turn all the lights off except the pedant lights. The effect is beautiful and very romantic.
5 Star Luxury Comforts:
At WHITE PALM villas we fixed this:
Pillows and Duvet’s are duck and goose down
We have basic non-hypoallergenic pillows too if you prefer.
Sheets are superior 300 thread count
Mattresses are individual pocket sprung with 100% natural latex topper for your extra comfort
Internet: There is wireless internet in villa, we have purchased the fastest speed available on the Island (it’s pretty great!)
T.V Box with over 300 International channels and the latest movie releases. Television: LG Smart T.V
We went out of our way to keep this easy and straight forward:
2 Remotes:
1 for the Smart T.V with LG Remote 1 for the International Channel Box
Smart T.V: To switch on the T.V use the LG remote – top red on/off switch. For Smart T.V use press the home button, symbol is a house. You will see an on screen cursor. Select an item by pressing the scroll control in the middle.
Netflix: please feel free to log-in if you have an account and log-out on your departure.
YouTube; we find this great for playing favorite kids t.v programs and playing music, by searching for a music mix of your choice.
Mounted on a swivel bracket so you can watch t.v from outside or inside the kitchen. (Please be careful when moving the screen and support the T.V carefully)
Ceiling Fans: There are fans in each room and the covered dining area. They can be individually controlled by a wall switch with 3 speed settings.
Air Conditioning: There is individually controlled air conditioning in each bedroom and living room. When the A.C is on please make sure the doors to the outside are closed or the air conditioning will leak water. The same for
the temperature setting; please do not set below 21 degrees. We find 22 - 23 degrees a perfect temperature. You are in the tropics after all.
To be green, we ask you turn off the air conditioning when you leave. The A.C is strong and cools a room very quickly, especially when combined with the ceiling fan!
Guest safe:
I should add this is a very safe area as is most of Samui however we have a safe for extra precaution and peace of mind. Our villa manager has the safe code and can explain use on arrival.
Electric Panels / Circuit Breakers: In the Utility room behind the Kitchen
Safety:
Fire Extinguisher – Under Kitchen Cupboard next to oven Fire Alarm – Ceiling at bottom of main stairwell
First Aid Box – Kitchen Cupboard
Pool Safety: Self explanatory but acts as a reminder. Please note the architecture of the building and pool. We have extended the glass across the pool edge 0.5 meters for extra safety.
Travelling with Children? If not feel free to skip this bit. For babies we have a High Chair and Cot. These belong to White Palm villas and are not rented in as with many other villas on the island.
We also have a kids pool barrier – if you would like any of the above please notify us as soon as possible to avoid disappointment as we only have a certain number of each. If your kids are into everything, as are mine right now, we put the delicate items out of reach to avoid obvious breakages and doodles. Please also see our Mini Samui Guide for things to do with little and big kids.

GETTING AROUND THE ISLAND
You might choose to arrive from the airport and camp out for your entire stay at the villa – beach, book, and beer!
Who could blame you? That said, exploring even a small part of Samui will add much more to your visit. It’s more or less a round island with a few sticky-out corners and navigating a ring road, it’s hard to get lost.
Hire a car, a driver, a min bus, all options are available to you.
