Beautiful historic city. A visit to the castle and cathedral are a must. The bail gate area is beautiful with interesting architecture and full of history. Here you can wander around the cobbled streets, grab a bite to eat, do a little shopping or simply sit and people watch all in the shadow of the majestic cathedral.

This is the home of the UK aerobatics team, The Red Arrows. They can regularly be seen practising in the skies in the area. There is a viewing point just outside the village of Scampton, where you’ll get to see a fantastic show if they are on a practise day.

Food scene
Louth is a traditional market town with a proper market square. It is great for shopping and boasts many independent shops along with high street staples. It also has several delis, butchers, bakers and award winning cheese shop. Eating out is easy here with several pubs, restaurants and tea rooms a plenty.

Tealby is a pretty village set on the Wolds. It has a lovely tea room and shop plus one of the best pubs in the area, the thatched Kings Head. The pub can even provide a taxi service.

The Splash is known locally as the pub with the ford! The river runs straight past the pub and kids love a little paddle whilst waiting for their delicious lunch to arrive. The food here is very good with generous portions at a very reasonable price.

If you love antiques or a good car boot sale Helmswell is the place for you. The antique center is open daily and boasts antiques of every description housed in the ‘officers mess’ buildings in what was the old RAF base.

Walking
Large car park and well signed walks of varying lengths - therefore perfect for all ages. There is a kiosk selling snacks and ice creams by the car park.
Willingham Woods
Walk from the cottage up to Normanby le Wold then across farm fields on the Viking way via Walesby to Tealby for a pint in the Kings Head pub.
