Not sure if this Airbnb provided option brings you to the Weatherwax trail, but try searching online for the weatherwax trail if you want a simple flat forested trail for kids and dogs.

The access just down the street is walking distance, or travel further south to get to less crowded areas, including an off leash dog area between the access points from Taurus Blvd and Butter Clam St. Most areas of the beach can be driven on, but follow the signs as some areas close to traffic to protect claim beds in non winter months.
There are also a couple reasonably priced horse riding companies that operate on the beach.

Amazing views and a long beach without cars. Access can be restricted depending on tide. Getting to the point/jetty may require climbing over rocks when tide is up.
