The main part of Poole Town is OK for essentials but a little lacking on the beauty side so head to Old Town and Poole Quay for a nicer stroll or Bournemouth for better shopping.

Castle point is a large out of town shopping mall nr Bournemouth but if you want a decent variety of shops, head an hour up the road to Southampton!!

Most of the Poole to Bournemouth main beaches are life guarded during the summer, but please check out advice for swimming and other sports before you venture out. Poole Harbour has a double tide and so check tide tables please and keep safe!

BH Fish
A real locals tip! For fish lovers, book your fish online before you come and either collect it or get it delivered to the flat. A new business borne of Covid and the desire to keep local fishermen going, and local fish local rather than exported, these guys are friendly and helpful and can fillet or prep fish for you if you don’t fancy just being presented with a whole fish! https://bhfish.co.uk/
