Sightseeing
it is a quaint South African small town with quite a few things to do and usually fabulous weather when the beach is windy / rainy. Only about 1.5 hours max drive from Sedgefield there is the Cango Caves and Wildlife Ranch, Ostrich farms to visit, and a host of amazing little shops of interest down the high street.. with a few excellent restaurants along the way. The perfect non- beach day out.

Go very early to avoid the rush, and you will be able to choose from a wide variety of food stalls, home made items, plants, craft activities and more. P.S. put aside the whole morning to meander through the stalls in order not to miss anything.

P.S. put aside the whole morning to meander through the stalls in order not to miss anything.
Also excellent for local shopping and eating - so many high quality large and small souvenirs to shop for. Word of caution though - go hungry ! They have a fantastic playground for the kids where adults can sit nearby and watch while they enjoy coffee and breakfast.

In the center area variety of other shops with basics like clothing and shoes (very basic - emergency only), fishing gear shop, gas station to fill up the car etc. and within walking distance is the post office and a few lovely quaint restaurants and coffee shops. Beware - blink and you will miss Sedgefield.
