There are single-track trails directly from our home to the trailhead. If you need a bike rental, Pine Mountain Sports is only a 5-minute drive from our house. There are over 300 miles of trails for all ability levels.

Make sure to leave early on powder days. You can grab a hot cocoa or breakfast in the lodge before hitting the trails. In the summer, you can enjoy a nice dinner at the top of the mountain and watch the sunset. They also have zip-lining, mountain-biking and disc golf in the summer.

Tumalo Falls
This is a must-see, and is great for hiking and mountain-biking.
This is a favorite way to cool down on hot summer days. You can exit the river partway down or continue through the whitewater park all the way to Drake Park. Be sure to follow all safety warnings. The whitewater area can throw you, but the upper section is very calm.

This cave is very cold year-round. Bring jackets and sturdy shoes, because the cave is rocky and dark. Lanterns are available to rent, and I would either bring a lantern or headlamps. This is a great family activity, especially when coupled with a visit to Lava Butte/Lava Lands Visitor Center.
