The Henson is a great, local pub with good food and drinks. It's very family friendly with a designated kids play area and kids menu. I love the barramundi with chips & vegetables or the 'dirty bird'.

One Penny Red is a gorgeous, more upmarket local restaurant with delicious food and great service. Downstairs is the restaurant and upstairs is a great bar. I recommend sharing the slow cooked lamb shoulder or the roasted chicken and the crispy spiced salt potatoes on the side are delicious. They also have lots of great wines here with an organic/biodynamic focus.

Delicious vegetarian bakery and cafe with great breakfasts and lunches. They also make amazing sticky chai tea. They're usually closed over xmas/new year so double check opening hours.

Start at the Spit Bridge and take the track to Manly Beach. It's a beautiful 9km track through the bush with stunning coastal views. You can catch a bus back to the Spit from Manly.
