Enjoy the song of the Saddleback, come face to face with a Takahe and if you are really lucky you might spy a giant weta, or even a tuatara, a living ancestor of the dinosaurs. The ferry terminal is walking distance from this apartment and it is a scenic 35-minute trip to the island.
