The Caney Fork River winds through the valleys here in Middle Tennessee and eventually feeds into the Cumberland River. This river is known throughout the country for excellent trout fishing and canoeing/kayaking. Put in just below the Center Hill Dam and spend a few hours or a full day floating downstream, taking in the beautiful countryside, or break out your waders and fly rig for an anglers dream.

The Center Hill Dam, built by Army Corps of Engineers completed in 1948 for flood control and electric generation on the Caney Fork River, created a 190' deep, 18220 acre lake with 255 miles of shoreline. The lake is home to at least a dozen species of fish. Water craft seen on the lake range from paddleboards to houseboats.
