This trail leads to a protected albatross bird sanctuary at the very outermost West Point of the island. Only accessible by walking, the area provides habitat for native seabirds and plants. You may also be able to spot Hawaiian monk seals in tide pools, and humpback whales during their breeding season. The trail length is 5.6 miles roundtrip. No shade! so bring plenty of water!

Pu'u O Hulu is a short hike with fast elevation gain. Popular hike because of the magnificent ocean views at the top. Trail is 1.6 miles roundtrip with 679 feet in elevation gain (45 minutes to top at a moderate pace).
