A favourite of ours. On foot it’s probably just over 30 minutes’ walk through the countryside, or about 5 minutes’ drive by car, in Bourton-on-the-Water. Much more of a pub feel, and great food (though worth booking a table if you wanted to eat). They are also currently offering click and collect service on their food menu!

Said to be Britain’s oldest pub, and another pub and restaurant that we’d recommend … 10 minutes’ drive away in Stow on the Wold.

We’ve also heard very good reviews of The Stump between Northleach and Cirencester, about 20 minutes drive away - specialising in pizza and pasta. We’re looking forward to our first visit there soon.
