Bucharest Sightseeing: Historical Churches - Admission Free

You are in a very old part of Bucharest where, despite of the urbanisation projects of the 80s, many historical churches are still standing witnesses of how the city used to look like in the past. All are central, within walking distance and visiting is free-of-charge.
Founded by Alexandru II Mircea (1568–1577) and his wife Ecaterina, Radu Vodă Monastery is a Romanian Orthodox monastery in the centre of Bucharest. It is a oasis of peace and tranquility away from the noise of the city, although it is right in the heart of the noisey city centre
