The City of Hull is much more than people imagine. A great day out, by train and back to the cottage in time for tea. There are amazing art galleries, aquatic centres, marine museums, and motor museums. The minster and the square around it is charming. The theatre is amazing with great productions. An amazing array of pubs and places to eat

A great historical city, walk the Roman walls, visit the Yorvik centre, take a bus or boat ride and see the Minster, Stonegate, Petergate and The Shambles. Trains go from Wressle, or alternatively park at The MacArthur Glen shopping outlet and get the park and ride into the city. A great day out for all the family.

Our nearest town with a lovely minster and park areas, some cobbled streets wonderful butchers bakers, grocers, offlicences and pubs and restaurants, well worth a wander!!

Half an hour away near the charming market town of Pocklington a super spot to take a drive or a hike along the Wolds Way, there is a wooded area where David Hickney got inspiration for some of his paintings!!

Although an hour away the south beach is nearly all dog friendly and is a great walk down to Fraisthorpe and back, then to sample one of the many very good fish and chip emotions, rounded off by a Notarianni icecream!!

Although it is an hour away, its a charming little town. Thornton le Dale is not far away from it, famous for bangers and cash. The train journey to Goathland is very scenic home of Heartbeat!!
