To visit
The Palace was ordered by the last dictator of communist Romania. Construction of this colonial building took 13 years.
The ornate interior is beautiful lined with marble, various types of wood and crystals. The building consisted of two houses of Parliament, conference centre, exhibition hall, museums and hundreds of rooms.
It is also the world's second-largest administrative building after the Pentagon.

The palace is old Romanian style called "Brancovenesc". The palace itself is an interesting museum, and sometimes there are art exhibitions during the weekend. But the charm is visiting the whole domain, the church, the restaurants, the huge park, and there is recreation area for families that includes activities on e lake and one sports area with football and tennis fields. We go there regularly with our kid. One of the greatest places in Bucharest, for sure, and a must visit for any tourist. There is also a paid parking area that is very cheap.

Placed at walking distance from Piata Unirii, this is one of the oldest monasteries in town.The outside walls are simple,not painted but the inside part is beautiful painted in bright colors. In the north of the church is kept the bell tower, the last vestige of the once powerful monastic enclosure. The monastery's cells are big(in fact,they look like real blocks) and look recently rehabilitated. Across the street is church Bucur, an interesting little church.

Situated in beautiful, well maintained grounds off a leafy boulevard is Ex Dictator Ceaucescu’s private mansion.
Wonderful house with a nice history, very well explained by the guide, with some humour.
You have to book the visit previously.
Its impressive the sumptuosity of the house. Its in a nice zone in Bucarest (of course), you can see the bedrooms, the closets with their original clothes, the private spa, the private pool with Nice frescos, the gardens, the golden bathroom etc. I recommend the visit.

Nightlife
Out of the normal clubs in Bucharest (not including the luxury ones), this is probably the best one. It's split in 3 part, outside with no music where people chill, drink and smoke, very crowded and 2 different inside parts, one electronic music and the other one far small concerts. Very good prices for a club and every Tuesday all prices are half.

Expirat is a top choice if you want to taste the nightlife of Bucharest. The Club recently moved so the new location is very nice and has an industrial look. As a drawback it is quite small and during the weekend it gets pretty crowded. Expirat also has heated terraces on the side and also has a small street food place where you can grab something if you get hungry.

As a drawback it is quite small and during the weekend it gets pretty crowded. Expirat also has heated terraces on the side and also has a small street food place where you can grab something if you get hungry.
An open air famous night club in Bucharest with nice Asian fusion food and lovely decor. Recommended to visit in the summer but in winter moves to an indoor place.
