Food scene

You're spoilt for choice in London, however these are my local favourites.
The future home for Apple's European HQ, this place is already buzzing with eateries including Megan's, The Wright Bros, No. 29 and Mother pizza, as well as Battersea General Stores, great coffee, Boom Cycle and a pier that takes you to the City via river taxi. Well worth a look and 5 minutes walk from the flat (across Nine Elms Lane).

Family Fun

These are my recommendations for where to take your kids. My 6 year old daughter loves these!
Great for river walks, Go Ape high ropes course, two great play areas for kids, two great cafes; The Pear Tree Cafe and Pizza in the Park. Makes you feel as if you're not in a city!

Great waves for little ones. Starting from 1pm each day, plus a softplay and cafe for afterwards. Take the 344 to Clapham junction from outside the flat and get off at "The Latchmere".

A high ropes course - but different levels so the whole family can enjoy. Located in Battersea Park, you can also enjoy food at Pizza in the Park and the mini golf course, both situated directly below the ropes course.

These shops and shopping areas are all 20 minutes away via bus.
Take the 137 from Battersea Park Station in the direction of Oxford Circus, or walk over Chelsea Bridge on a sunny day (takes about 20 minutes) and you can enjoy all the shops and eateries of London's famous King's Road and Sloane Square itself.

Close by

Not really much to see here, but worth knowing that it's 5 minutes walk away, so could be of interest to those who need to be close by.

Waitrose is one of the best supermarkets the UK has to offer. This one is 3 minutes away in the direction of Vauxhall. It is never busy, the carpark is never full and it has the freshest, most delicious sushi bar ever

Neighbourhoods

This is one of London's most up and coming areas. Anchored around London's iconic Battersea Power Station it stretches along the river from the edge of Battersea Park to Vauxhall. The new home of the American Embassy and also Apple, it will have a zone 1 tube station by 2020. Battersea Power station itself has a good selection of shops and restaurants already as well as a river link to the city. You are only 20 minutes walk across Chelsea Bridge from Chelsea and 5 minutes walk from Battersea park.
