A more intimate beach than Stinson. Great hiking abounds. Get the "CityMapper" app for your phone and you'll have a handy trail guide for whole Golden Gate National Recreation trail system. We highly recommend it for tromping around these parts.

Golden Gate Buses stop close to the apartment and run every half hour into SF. Air conditioned buses with soft seats; many with wi-fi. Connects to Sausalito and Larkspur Ferry system.

Sightseeing
It's called vista point for a reason. Although just down the hill, at Horseshoe Cove, it's always less crowed, and I like the selfie shot from the cove's pier better than vista point's.

They are usually patrolling for dropped bait or making an easy meal of a fish struggling at the end of a line.
