Our Closest Restaurants

We are very lucky to have a number of very good restaurants within a few kms of us which we have listed here.
A wonderful little restaurant on the shores of the Lac du Drennec. Perfect at any time of day but especially in the evening as the sun sets over the lake and you look west. Mercedes, chef and owner, has created a wonderful menu with a mix of traditional favourite dishes as well as some Thai themed choices. Delicious.

The Auberge is only 5 kms from us and is thoroughly recommended. It is run by 3 guys whose ethos is to source everything they use within 50 kms of the restaurant so many of the local farms and producers are represented. The menu is varied and generally more interesting than your average restaurant, but always delicious.

A relatively new enterprise (begun in July 2008) sited in the countryside about 45 minutes from us is the Valley of the Saints. Created to discover, preserve and promote the lives of Breton Saints they have an ambition to erect 1000 sculptures of those Saints in the park. With over 150 sculptures in place now there are some interesting walks to be had and with new statues being added each year worth coming back to.
