Southampton Village is regarded as one of the premier summer resort areas in the country. Cooper's Beach is regularly listed as one of the top ten beaches in the US. “As the first “Gold Coast” in the country, it is hundreds of yards wide and made of grainy white quartz sand. The beach is backed by large sand dunes covered with beach grass interspersed with extravagant mansions. A tip: Check out the snack bar serving lunch and drinks!

The Estate Section, which contains the majority of the homes for the very affluent residents, lies directly north of the Atlantic oceanfront and extends to Hill Street.
