Bass Lake is surrounded by pine trees, and a lovely place to swim, boat or jet ski. While there, we recommend enjoying a burger at the historic Forks Resort on the west shore. Miller's Landing a little further down is a fun place to take the kids for an ice cream.

It's only about 15 minutes beyond Shaver Lake, but like a totally different world of tranquility and nature.
It's only a 1 hour drive to wander among some of the most ancient giant trees on the planet!

There is a five dollar fee to drive in, but I usually park out on the road, and make the hike in part of my walk. Fun place to walk the dog and enjoy the sound of the rushing river.
