Parks & Nature
This is an easy, convenient, approximately 3-mile hike just outside of town. Great for families, kids, and adults of any fitness level. The views are incredible! The trail does get snowed in during the winter, and the you may have trouble crossing the low bridges on the far side of the lake in early spring, so this is best in summer or fall. We go almost every visit!

We LOVE the hike to Rainbow Falls during the summer. The 101-foot waterfall is part of the Devils Postpile National Monument. It is known for the colorful rainbow that its mist creates. The best time to experience the rainbows is midday during late spring and summer, when the sun is highest.
