Local park and trail
Hawk Island is very close to the house. To walk there take Hamelon St to Aurelius. Then walk across the field to a gravel road turn right on the gravel road (Ruth Ave.) and take it 150 yards until you see the paved river trail. Follow the signs on the river trail to get to hawk island.
