McMenamins is a local brew pub chain. They have many micro-brews (some offered at all locations and some that are unique by location). Each location is unique. Some are renovated houses, schools, hotels, movie theaters or just local hangouts in strip-malls. We recommend a "ruby head" which is a combination of their popular Hammerhead and Ruby.

This nature park is a short 3 minute walk from our driveway. It offers approximately 4 miles of hiking trails in a beautifully preserved forest setting. Birds and deer are abundant!

Forest Park has many miles of trails, park areas, playgrounds, and includes the Rose Gardens, Oregon Zoo, and Japanese Gardens. It's a lovely place to spend a day or afternoon.

Located in the Columbia River Gorge, Multnomah Falls is possible Oregon's most iconic waterfall. And it's one of the few that you can see from the parking lot. There is a lovely lodge with a restaurant, gift shop and ice cream and fudge stands. There are also great hiking trails but they have been closed due a fire in 2017 so be sure to check ahead if you want to hike.

Located in the Columbia River Gorge, Multnomah Falls is possible Oregon's most iconic waterfall. And it's one of the few that you can see from the parking lot. There is a lovely lodge with a restaurant, gift shop and ice cream and fudge stands. There are also great hiking trails but they have been closed due a fire in 2017 so be sure to check ahead if you want to hike.
