This hotel has recently reopened. We had a meal here a few weeks after they opened and we can highly recommend it. They use fresh, local produce to produce great food.

Restaurant/café in the picturesque village of Fordyce, a short drive from Cullen. Seafood is their speciality for lunch and dinner. Cakes and coffee also served throughout the day. All within a tastefully converted church.

This distillery has recently undergone a multi million pound renovation and build. There was lots of coverage on social media and we recently paid a visit. Unfortunately our boys are too young for the tour (over 14's only) but had a walk around the building. The building itself is pretty special but we can't wait to see what's inside!

This distillery has recently undergone a multi million pound renovation and build. There was lots of coverage on social media and we recently paid a visit. Unfortunately our boys are too young for the tour (over 14's only) but had a walk around the building. The building itself is pretty special but we can't wait to see what's inside!
This distillery was closed for 20 years and only re-opened in 2008. They offer a selection of tours including a 'Drivers Tour' where you can take your 'dram' home. Children over the age of 8 can take the tour. Please note that the distillery is not open at weekends.

Beautiful historic village with its own castle. There is a park, Victorian garden and joiners workshop but the village itself is lovely to walk around. The village hold an annual open garden day around the end of July.

If you like antiques, you will love this selection of shops! They have appeared on TV on the Salvage Hunter and have a great selection of antiques, second hand furniture, vintage clothes and accessories. I have bought several items here and return regularly to see new stock. All budgets catered for.

Newly opened Cullen Sea School offers a great choice of activities on the water from April to the end of August. We are regular rowers (all year, weather dependent) and this year tried their kayaking classes.

Great soft play centre for children. There's also go karting here for older children which our boys really enjoyed.

We really enjoyed this tour. The process and history is fascinating. 3.30 is the last tour so ensure you arrive before then! There are a couple of tours to choose from, one of which is suitable for children.

Miles of lovely sandy beach. Our favourite area is the beach by the harbour where it's safe and sheltered! Our boys love to harbour jump here. Further along there are 2 long stretches of beach where the waves are great for body boarding or surfing.

Fantastic stretch of pathway from Cullen for walking or cycling. This route takes you along the old railway line across the viaducts and can take you all the way to Buckie. Easy route for little legs on bikes! Fantastic views all the way along the route.

Great walks or medium to hard mountain bike trails. Our boys tried these trails on their bikes a few years ago and found them challenging! Not for complete beginners but the walks are easier.
