This is a calm bay popular for water skiings. Like all beaches on Waiheke it's best for swimming at high tide. Head directly out from the beach towards the left hand point for good snapper fishing around the shallow reefs.

It's worth the walk around the bays to The Esplanade. Various tracks will take you around the island just use your Google maps. For those with reasonable fitness it takes about 30mins to walk to Oneroa where you can loop back.
Local Tip
Search for the track at the very left had side of the bay as you go past the Marae, this will take you up to Church Bay Road which loops past Cable Bay Vineyard and others sites.
