A delicious and hip new spot in the neighborhood. They serve excellent burgers, fried chicken sandwiches, salads, and cocktails. They sometimes have live music, too.

For $10, you can get a delicious AND filling Japanese rice bowl that is so good, you'll be going back the next day. My personal favorite is the ebi katsudon - a rice bowl with panko-coated shrimp, pickled veggies, and an amazing sauce.

A locally owned place with homemade popsicles (need I say more?), coffee, and food like big salad bowls and soup. Couldn't be more convenient to the apartment, either!

Just a ten minute walk from the apartment, this is the place to see and be seen on a sunny D.C. day. On weekends, the park fills with family picnickers, millennial sunbathers, bros playing Slam Ball and frisbee, and a drum circle that eventually gets everyone dancing.
