The only 5-Star ***** Restaurant in downtown Athens, just a 4 block walk from our home. A very nice elegant upbeat bar as well. Excellent desserts, tapas, steak and also wine & Scotch lists.

Authentic chicken tinga and al pastor, jackfruit tinga and Amazeballs margaritas-every dish at Poquitos is carefully crafted.
We just say, DAMN, that's delish & some of the best most flavorful Mexican we've ever had. seriously, it's not like any other we have found so far. Plus their mixed drinks and cocktails (Esp. the fresh made margarita's) are phenomenal. A little elevated prices compared with your average Mexican but so is the food!
Poquitos

A coffee shop at first glance, Buvez (Boo 'Vay) is a French style Cafe at heart. fresh made baguette sandwiches, fizzy cocktails, unique beers and kombuchas, Buvez also has occasional live music, comedy and the rare Petanque tournement. Kids love the building blocks they can climb into and the Swedish fish. Adults like most everything else. Get there early for lunch coz it sells out. Next door to what was the most amazing local coffee roaster right here on Barber, Jittery Joe's, the first true Athens coffee shop & first 24 hour coffee shop, and now they roast, sell & do events- they've just moved to Fritz Mar Lane. Terrific. Take some home! (We usually leave you a can of theirs to take with you anyway however.) Enjoy!
