Really great farm to table options with one of the best beer on tap (and bottle) list around. There's always a great vibe and plenty of non-burger options on the menu. South Royalton is in a beautiful spot too... totally worth the 25-minute scenic drive.

This is a bit of a hike (about an hour northwest), but the drive is absolutely stunning and the destination is terrific. Schilling's features european style brews, with an always changing menu of beers and terrific small-plate dining options. My favorite thing to do when making this trip is to take a short day-hike up in Franconia and then finish off the day with a visit to Schillings for a refreshing beer and good food. Franconia Notch is not to be missed, even if you only stop on the side of the road and take photos. Beautiful!
