It is very close to the cabin. Turn right out of the driveway until you get to Mountain View. Take a right on Mountain View and follow it until it ends (about a ½ mile). The trailhead is where the road ends. 5.8 miles round-trip, 1,600 ft. elevation gain. Pretty easy, kid-friendly. The trail is harder to follow in winter months – snowshoes are a good idea.
