-There is an annual Bat Fest, usually the end of August, worth checking out

If you are a Austinite or you are visiting Austin, This place is a must must visit destination. The architecture is great, both inside and out. You can even visit the floor and the chamber where the sessions takes place. Anyone can simply walk inside but you have to go through a metal detector without going through much hassle. You can take free audio tours or even guided tours are given.
